More About Me 

I am a lifelong learner and instructional designer who enjoys making complex ideas understandable and meaningful. My approach combines thoughtful curriculum design, evidence-based instructional strategies, and a strong attention to detail. I use frameworks such as ADDIE and Understanding by Design to create purposeful learning experiences that encourage independence, critical thinking, and practical application. 

After more than two decades in secondary and higher education, I bring a deep understanding of learners, assessment, and the process of turning instructional challenges into effective learning solutions. I value collaboration, continuous improvement, and creating work that helps others succeed. 

Professional Background 

My experience includes curriculum development, instructional design, assessment, and online learning across U.S. History, Government, and Career and Technical Education. I have taught at La Porte High School, Dickinson Continuation Center, Barbers Hill High School, Sheldon Early College High School, and Dayton High School, as well as at Lee College and San Jacinto College.
